Sport & Breath Course

“The nearer a man comes to a calm mind, the closer he is to strength.”

Marcus Aurelius

Every athlete trains harder.  The smart ones train their breath — because that’s where the real gains hide.

After 30+ years working in sport, I get it — the pressure, the intensity, the need to stay calm when everything around you is anything but.

Breath work is one of the fastest, simplest ways to support performance, mindset, and recovery… and most athletes have barely scratched the surface.

Your nose and your breath are literal superpowers.

When used properly, they improve efficiency, focus, nervous-system control, pacing, and resilience. And the best part?

Breath training can be seamlessly layered onto your existing programme without adding noise or overwhelm.

I collaborate with performance teams and athletes one-to-one or in groups across golf, cycling, swimming, running and rugby. Together, we build tailored breath training and protocols that match training cycles, goals and competition schedules. It’s not about doing “more”.

It’s about tuning in — and unlocking the capacity that’s already there.

  • “Working with Tricia reshaped how we think about breath. In a sport where you can’t nose-breathe in the pool, land-based breath training became our differentiator. Our swimmers understood it, controlled it, and used it — and it showed at BUCS.”
